The Quicksilver Vineyard lies on the western Rutherford bench, in the acclaimed area on Bella Oaks Lane. The soils are predominantly well-drained loams that produce vines of moderate size. These older vines were planted to the California sprawl system, with wider spacing and a divided canopy, giving great exposure to the fruit. Minimal irrigation is needed to obtain maximum fruit potential.

The 2021 ARTEMIS Cabernet Sauvignon offers inviting aromas of boysenberry, plum, currant, chocolate and baking spice. The rich and creamy entrance leads to a fresh and flavorful mid-palate. The wine is full-bodied with rich fruit flavors and integrated tannins that are persistent and plush.
On the nose, there are lovely aromas of Satsuma plum, Black cherry, and subtle graphite from Paso Robles’ mineral-rich soils. On the palate, I get the flavors of ripe red cherry, mixed berry pie, and Tahitian vanilla. The finish is smooth with well-integrated tannins. It’s opulent, richly textured, and beautifully balanced. The Prisoner Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of cinnamon bark, clove, Christmas cake, crushed rock layered with dried currant and fresh ground coffee. Palate is soft and plush with a full mid palate and sturdy lengthy finish. Flavors of black coffee, dried red berries, dominate with hints of holiday spices carrying through to the finish.
