On the palate, the 2016 Chateau de Cugat delivers a symphony of flavors that dance harmoniously. Juicy black fruits, such as blackcurrants and plums, take center stage, accompanied by hints of licorice and spice. The velvety texture coats the mouth, adding a luxurious touch to the tasting experience. Fine-grained tannins provide structure and balance, ensuring a long and elegant finish.
This traditional Parenchère blend is generally very fleshy, with a very deeply colored robe. Characterized by a good balance between fruit and tannin, it displays distinct red fruit aromas with a long, sustained finish.
Mouthwatering Kirsch, raspberry, black truffle, sous-bois, foraged bounty, crushed leaves, and cherry blossom. It is impeccably fresh, and a perfect balance of fruit and earth. On the palate, layers on layers of red fruit laced with mineral. This is medium+ bodied and packed with a velvety tannic backbone. Never is it astringent or gripping. just elegant.

Etienne typically produces about 500 cases of this wine annually, half of which is reserved for us for the US market. It is often voluminous with sweet blackberry fruit and an undercurrent of licorice, game, and a firm, sweet tannic structure, a wine of exquisite value.

Notes of woodland flowers, peach and a hint of almond on the nose. Rich and full-bodied with well-balanced acidity and a long finish.
The delicate nose unfolds in swaths of color. The green of eucalyptus, mint and vetiver, the yellow-orange of mirabelle plums, apricot and orange blossom, the brown of pepper, cardamom and licorice sticks, and finally silvery saline and toasty hues.
