Spicy and floral on the nose, this expression of the lesser-known but worthy Sicilian grape Perricone opens with white pepper and violets followed by metallic umami notes of black olives and graphite. The palate offers wild strawberry and Bing and black cherries along with more flintiness, stones and wild herbs. A medicinal finish is carried through with relaxing tannins and plenty of acid.
