This gorgeous Pinot Noir opens with seductive aromas of cherry liquor, sweet tobacco, fresh fennel, rose petal and boysenberry preserves. The broad, youthful, tangy, yet complex palate offers juicy flavors of blood orange, sour cherry jam, tamarind, raspberry jerk sauce, with a hint of savory green plantains. The firm tannins and tangy acidity create a full-bodied texture, lending to the incredibly long, spicy finish.
Crafted from up to 100 individual small lots, the appealing 2021 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir captures the classic characteristics of this renowned variety and region. Deeply layered and velvet-smooth, offering notes of perfectly ripe blackberry, black cherry, dark plum and cranberry that blend with hints of toast, spice, lavender and rose. Rich oak sweetness characteristics feature on the mid palate, while soft tannins add intriguing texture.
Deep and brambly with aromas of red cherry fruit, savory herbs, cinnamon, rose petal, and orange rind with earthy mushrooms. The mouthfeel is supple and ripe with flavors of cherry, red currant, baking spice, rhubarb pie and a touch of minerality. Bright entry on the palate, lush texture, and a succulent finish.
